An effective resume includes a professional resume and cover letter followed by a thank you letter. A résumé is a summary of your life experiences which are directly and indirectly related to your work goals. It's an autobiographical sketch of information you want employers to know about you.

Why do I need a professionally written resume?

Submit your information for your personalized resume to us in a variety of ways:

  • Send it electronically by filling out the following questionnaire. Don’t worry about the wording of your skills, abilities and job duties. Leave that to us. Provide us with a simple list of your experiences and we will do the rest.
  • Send portions of your information electronically and tell us the rest by phone or in person (e-mail or call for an appointment).
  • Verbally give us all your information over the phone or in person (e-mail or call for an appointment).
  • Drop off a handwritten or typed sheet at our office with the same information as requested for the on-line questionnaire.

Once we have your information, we will design and write a resume to give you the optimal edge for that perfect job. Your resume will be ready within days and can be e-mailed or faxed to you for review and approval.You can also review your resume and pick up laser prints at our office.

Is your resume up to date?Once you have your resume in our computer system, keep it updated by e-mailing, faxing or telling us any new information.New information will be added to your resume in keeping with the style and formatting.

Why do I need a cover letter?

A cover letter should accompany a resume when submitted to an employer and has three major objectives:

  • It lets the employer know you are requesting an interview.

The cover letter gives the employer his first insight into your personality, abilities and motivation.

  • The thank-you letter is a second contact with the person you want to be interested - the interviewer. Your letter acts as a second encounter with the interviewer. It brings you into the interviewer's mind again.
  • You want to multiply the good impression you have made on the interviewer. Writing the interviewer a thank-you letter can turn him/her into a salesperson on your behalf. Employers notice your attention to business etiquette and appreciate your thoughtfulness.
